Agents Find $100K Worth Of Drugs On Baltimore Ship

BALTIMORE (AP) - Federal agents have found more drugs aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship that employees allegedly used to smuggle narcotics into the United States.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection says a drug-sniffing dog found two packages of heroin and one package of cocaine on the cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas. The ship was searched Saturday after it returned to Baltimore from a 12-day trip to the Caribbean, and the drugs were found in a compartment that's only accessible to employees.
Authorities say no arrests have been made related to the new discovery. But last month, three kitchen employees of the ship were arrested and charged with conspiracy to import heroin and cocaine.
Law enforcement officials would not say whether the new drug seizure was linked to the previous arrests.
Federal agents have found more than two pounds of cocaine and heroin in a locker aboard the cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas in Baltimore.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection says a drug-sniffing dog found two packages of heroin and one package of cocaine on Saturday. The combined street value is about $94,000.
